While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I experienced behind its entrance was disturbing and far below any standard .

The surfaces were tacky , and a pungent odor of stale beer and uncleaned toilets suffused the entire bar . With a smell of a mixture of excrement , decay and a sickly smell. The serving zone , which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and refuse that looked like it had been ignored for a long time .
